Maybe you are interested in learning Percussion or Mallet Instruments (vibes, marimba, etc.)
- I don’t play percussion but I’d like to learn. I think it’d help my main instrument or just be fun.
- I’m a percussionist but want to learn to play better.
- I want to be a more musical percussionist.
- I want to learn to play mallet instruments. either as a beginner or improve on my current foundation.
I can help with you with any or all of these.
As I said in my About Me page – I have a diversity of experience and have figured out methods for improving as a musician. If you just want chops you can watch videos all day but if you want to become a better musician faster then a teacher is your best route.
What I can offer is different than instrument specific instruction (well – I do teach hand percussion and vibes). These are lessons focussing on the other facets of being a musician that will take you to the next level. Learn to play better and interact more and/or fight your fears and get rid of those nasty thoughts that are holding you back. We’re going to find your “unfair advantage!” The basic ideas comes from focused practicing and listening as well as how to approach music mentally.
Q: How often would we have a session? This depends on your goals and your needs. Some people may gain a lot by a session every week, two weeks, or a month. Others may just need one session to get them going on their own. Filling out the Introductory Questionaire will help me better know how to make a recommendation. After consulting with you we can figure out the best schedule for you.
